GardenBinder Guides
GardenBinder Is on the App Store
GardenBinder · October 14, 2026 · 3 min read
GardenBinder is now an iPhone and iPad app. Download it from the App Store, sign in with the account you already use on the web, and your garden is there: every plant, bed, photo, seed packet and season.
What the app does
A photo journal that files itself. Photograph a harvest, a bloom or a bed you just dug. GardenBinder attaches it to the plant and the bed, so next year you can open that bed and see what it looked like today.
Care that reads the forecast. Your care list shifts with the weather where you garden: water before the heat, hold off on spraying before rain, and a frost countdown when the first frost is on the way.
Your yard, drawn to scale. Draw the beds, drop in the plants, and tap any bed to see what is in it and what it has grown.
A seed library with a sowing calendar. Capture a seed packet and GardenBinder counts back from your last frost date to tell you when to start it.
Memories. This week in years past, and Then and Now of the same bed years apart. The app gets better the longer you keep it.
What it costs
Free holds your first garden: 15 plants, 100 photos and this season's story, with three plant identifications and ten AI imports to try. No ads, no trackers, and you can export everything whenever you want.
Premium is $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year, with a 7-day trial. It holds the whole garden: unlimited plants and photos, every past season, sharing with up to six people, a monthly allowance of plant identifications and seed-packet and receipt scans, and 10 GB of photo storage. Founders' Lifetime is $99 once, while GardenBinder is new, and never renews.
Bringing your garden with you
If you already keep your garden in a notebook, a spreadsheet, or another app, paste it in and review every plant before it is saved. We wrote a guide for each: PictureThis, Planta and Gardenize, with guides for spreadsheets and paper notebooks later this month.
What is next
Push notifications for care reminders are in the update that is with Apple now; it installs on its own once approved. Links that open straight into the app are next, and an Android version is in the works. Tell us what you keep track of in your garden and what you have given up tracking: support@gardenbinder.app.
